Africa, My Eternal Mother
Share Label
Africa, my land, my source, my root,
Ebony oasis where my soul takes its light.
You are the echo of drums under the moon,
The song of ancestors stirred by the wind.
Your rivers murmur the stories of my kin,
Your mountains stand watch over ancient hearts.
In your sky, brilliant stars dance,
Our souls reflected there, proud and vibrant.
I hear in the dawn the call of the baobab,
Keeper of ages, memory unyielding.
Beneath its branches, the wise weave time,
Each word a fire, each verse a lifeblood.
My skin is yours, of ebony and flame,
Marked by dreams, by silent battles.
But despite the chains, the wounds of yesterday,
My land, my Africa, I am your light.
You who cradled the steps of queens and kings,
Your songs still echo in my voice.
Africa, my mother, my breath, my lifeblood,
In your arms, I am free, I am a dream.
