Aux Grandes Âmes Noires et Métisses

To the Great Black and Biracial Souls

To you, ebony queens, mothers of light,
To you, biracial sisters, proud souls,
Who carved paths through the shadows,
So that today our steps might move unhindered.

Rosa Parks, who refused to yield,
Angela Davis, who kept dreaming,
Fannie Lou Hamer, who sang for our rights,
And so many others whose brilliance never fades.

Your voices are songs etched into stone,
Your struggles are torches, bursts of light.
You carried the weight of the world, the pain of our chains,
But within your hearts burned a sovereign flame.

To you, modern warriors, pioneers of a new tomorrow,
Your battles remind us that no strength is in vain.
For in every victory, every glimmer, every cry,
Shines the immense power of your spirits.

Thank you, great Black and biracial souls,
For making your lives into promises.
For showing that, despite the wounds,
Our pride is a rock, a flame, an armor.
