The Guardians of the Obsidian

Introduction: Fifty years ago, the world was forever changed. From the heart of Africa, a massive black crystal emerged, defying all scientific explanation. Nicknamed “the Obsidian,” this mysterious structure turned nations upside down. Its immense energy promised a bright future, but also attracted greed and chaos.
While governments struggled to control this enigmatic power, a group of unexpected adventurers found themselves connected to the Obsidian. Each of them was touched by the crystal in a unique way, gaining abilities that defied comprehension. But with this gift came a mission: to protect the Obsidian and uncover its secrets before it fell into the wrong hands.
In a world where the Obsidian’s power could either save or destroy humanity, three courageous souls rise to face a destiny far greater than themselves. And so, their story begins…
Amara (standing before the Obsidian, her eyes shining with a mix of fear and fascination): “All my life, I’ve searched for answers in the earth, in ruins, in ancient writings. But nothing prepared me for… this.”
Kuami (watching the soldiers approach, his face hard and determined): “It doesn’t matter who they send. It doesn’t matter how many. If those mercenaries think they can walk on our land, I’ll show them what it means to fight for your home.”
Afi (tapping on her computer, her glasses reflecting the scrolling data): “These energy levels… it’s insane. If I can channel it properly, we could power an entire city. But one mistake and I might trigger a catastrophe.”
Amara (placing a hand on the Obsidian, as if to calm it): “It’s not just a power source. It’s… alive. I can almost hear voices, memories. As if it’s whispering secrets to me.”
Kuami (crossing his arms, smirking): “You hear voices. Afi sees numbers. All I know is this thing attracts trouble, and if we don’t protect it, it’s over.”
Afi (raising a finger to silence Kuami): “You think everything can be solved with a punch or a spear? If we don’t understand what this is, how can we protect it?!”
Amara (interrupting them with a calm yet firm voice): “Enough. If we keep arguing, we’re no better than those who want to claim this power. We have to act, together.”
Kuami (sighing and uncrossing his arms): “Alright. But if something goes wrong, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Afi (clicking one last time on her keyboard): “Then we have a plan. And not much time. Let’s go.”
Amara (looking at her comrades with determination): “Let’s go.”
Amara, Kuami, and Afi standing before the Obsidian, each ready to face what’s ahead, with the crystal’s light illuminating their faces.
